Overview

In chemical container caps, the inner ring, which is the sealing part, is often designed to be tight, because liquid leakage is a fatal defect. Such an inner ring part tends to be short-molded, so it requires a sufficient gas escape circuit. Moreover, a cooling circuit must be installed in the core, so some devising is required when designing the mold.
If the inner ring is large, "sink" is likely to occur on the top of the cap. If the thickness of the top of the cap cannot be changed, it can be made inconspicuous by attaching a rib to the inner ring like this cap for a chemical container. Resin powder may be generated in rare cases during mold release, but this can be contamination of the clean room, so it is necessary to take measures such as coating the core in advance when manufacturing plastic molded caps in a clean room.
