Overview

This plastic injection molded product is an ultra-thin wall cap for medical sample tubes made of polypropylene. This ultra-thin tube cap needs to be pierced from the top surface of the tube cap to take out the contents after injection of reagents, etc. Therefore, it was required to mold the top surface of the tube cap to be an ultra-thin wall thickness of 0.1 mm.
It is not possible to mold 0.1mm using ordinary plastic molding methods. Also, since it is extremely thin, weld lines and voids may occur. By using a special plastic injection molding method, we have been able to cleanly fill the 0.1 mm area with resin and produce products without weld lines and voids.
For medical plastic injection molded products that require thin-wall molding, high-quality products can be stably produced by devising the mold design and molding method according to the product.
