Before (改善前)

In plastic molded products for medical use, materials manufacturers such as PP (polypropylene), PC (polycarbonate), and PE (polyethylene) may be discontinued and switch to production of succeeding grade materials.

Although it is a successor grade, subtle changes in viscosity and additives cause a decrease in yield due to poor moldability and an increase in the mold maintenance period due to generation of tan. This increases production costs.

After (改善後)

Cost increases can be avoided  by using a similar material from a different material manufacturer instead of the successor grade of the material manufacturer that originally used.

It is possible to produce a plastic injection molded product of the same quality at no additional cost by manufacturing with the same plastic molded material based on the data sheet of the material originally used.

POINT(要約)

When manufacturing plastic injection molded products with discontinued materials, it is necessary to consider not only the same material manufacturer but also other materials manufacturers to consider equivalent materials. As a result, it is possible to produce with good yield and avoid unnecessary cost increase.
