When performing plastic injection molding, various ancillary equipment is required in addition to the plastic injection molding machine. Here, we introduce those ancillary devices from the point of view of actually using them on site.

①Product take-out machine (take-out robot)

The product take-out machine is a device for removing products and runners molded by a plastic injection molding machine from the mold. By using a product take-out machine, fully automatic operation is possible, and there are advantages of stable molding, prevention of product damage, and labor saving.
Famous take-out robot manufacturers often seen at the plastic injection molding site are made by Sailor Pen Co., Ltd.’s Robot Division, Yushin Precision Equipment Co., Ltd., and Star Micronics Co., Ltd.

②Material supply device

A material supply device is a device that automatically supplies material into the hopper of a plastic injection molding machine. By using a material supply device, the frequency of material input can be reduced, and labor can be saved. In addition, there is no danger of work and no problems such as spilling of material will occur even if the hopper is located at a higher position because of reduced human work.

③Runner crusher

A runner crusher is a device that crushes the runner generated by plastic injection molding. By using a runner crusher, reproducible products can be mixed with materials and reused. Even for non-reproducible products, there is the advantage that the volume of runners generated in large quantities can be reduced.

④Mold temperature controller

The mold temperature controller for injection molding is a device that heats the cooling water of the mold. By using a mold temperature controller, it is possible to raise the temperature of the mold, improve the flow of resin, maintain the temperature of the mold constant, and stabilize product quality. As an example, when raising the temperature of the mold, circulating water of 30 deg.C to 120 deg.C, or very high temperature oil can be used instead of circulating water for cooling purpose of 20 deg.C normally.

⑤Material dryer

A material dryer is a device used to remove moisture contained in materials. By removing the moisture contained in the material, it is possible to prevent defects such as silver.

⑥Crane for injection mold

It is necessary for attaching and detaching the mold of the plastic injection molding machine. Basic injection molds are basically lifted with a crane and mounted from the top of the molding machine. The crane is used for it.
Injection molds (also very effective for all other molds) are expensive precision parts that cost million yen and can weigh more than 100kg depending on the item.
