Plastic injection molding is the most typical plastic molding method. This is a processing method in which plastic raw materials are heated and melted, pressurized, injected into a closed mold, cooled and the solidified material is taken out by opening the mold, to obtain a molded product of the desired shape and thickness.
Injection molding is a processing method that enables mass production of complex shapes and precision products in a short time and at low cost. Most of various products around us are made by this injection molding.
Manufacturing process of plastic injection molding
① Put material into a hopper

The plastic raw material is injected into the hopper, which is the material injection port of the plastic injection molding machine. At this point, the raw material is still in a granular state (pellet state). |
② Melt the material in a cylinder

When the plastic raw material passes through a cylinder (heating cylinder) heated by a heater in the injection molding machine, it is heated and melted from a granular state to a muddy state. |
③ Inject the melted material into a mold

The molten plastic material is pressurized by a screw and poured (injected) into the mold from the nozzle at the tip. The plastic material is poured into a cavity between the male and female molds. |
