ABS resin is a generic name for acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene copolymerized synthetic resins.
ABS resin is also widely used in medical plastics and is characterized by its excellent mechanical properties such as rigidity, hardness, machinability, impact resistance, bending, and fatigue. It is also used for thin-walled products due to good flowability and moldability. ABS resin plastic products for medical use are used for tip rack plates used in clean rooms.
ABS resin can withstand acids and alkalis, but it is poor in chemical resistance, so care must be taken as alcohol, mineral oil, strong acids, strong alkalis, etc. because they can be cause of deterioration and chemical cracking.
